Turknett Leadership Character Awards Luncheon

The 5th Annual Turknett Leadership Character Awards Luncheon was held Wednesday, February 4, 2008, at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Buckhead. Among those honored was Nellie Dunaway Duke, Chair of Georgia Commission on Women, Georgia Osteoporosis Initiative and President/ CEO of Georgia Women's Institute. Duke was nominated in the category of non-profit agencies by Dr. Mary Lou Frank and Julianna McConnell for her leadership in founding the Georgia Osteoporosis Initiative. Dr. Mary Lou Frank of Gainesville State College, Vice-President of Georgia Women's Institute, was nominated by Possible Woman's Linda Wind, for leadership in Education. GWI Advisor Astrid Pregel, CEO of Feminomics, nominated by Linda Wind, and Barbara Rose of New Generation Partnerships, were honored for leadership in Business.
